Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between warehouse storage and self-storage?

In self-storage, such as at Country Odds ‘N Ends, you’re in control. It’s your unit, and no one else has access unless you give permission – and the key. You are liable for your own property inside the unit. In warehouse storage, you must make an appointment with the facility in order to access your unit; the control rests in the hands of the storage company. You must observe rules regarding hours of availability, and an employee of the company must be present to supervise your visit.

Are these units weatherproof?

Yes, Country Odds ‘N Ends provides storage units that protect your stored goods from the elements.

What should I not store?

Some items don’t do well in extreme temperatures, and obviously you can’t store live animals in your unit. Plants would wither and die without water and sunlight. Explosive or flammable materials require a controlled environment, which self-storage units do not offer. Photos can be stored if they are placed in acid-free containers that allow very little light absorption – keep out of direct sunlight or heat. Fragrant items such as food, flowers, or perfume can attract animals and insects. Musical instruments can warp and/or crack during rapid temperature changes.

Do I need insurance for the things I store?

We recommend insurance for your stored items and suggest that you ask your insurance agent whether your homeowners or renters insurance will cover this property. If you find that you need insurance, some insurance carriers specialize in self-storage. Remember, you are responsible for all the items you store at Country Odds ‘N Ends.

Do you offer storage of cars, boats, RVs, motorcycles, and other vehicles?

What you store in your unit is your business, with certain restrictions. We do offer outside RV storage with competitive rates. See our pricing!

Will my belongings be protected in mini-storage?

Probably more so than in your garage or attic. We offer on-site supervision and fencing around the facility to ensure that your property remains safe and secure. We recommend purchasing a good, sturdy lock, available in any hardware store – cheap is not always best.
